A Non-Surgical Cure for Chronic Neck Pain

With how the world has changed this past year it seems to reason that we are about to see an exponential rise in cases of neck pain. The breaks from screen and phone time that naturally occur in the transition of the commute from home and work have quickly diminished and in many cases disappeared. Having seen the havoc poor workplace ergonomics can wreak on the spine firsthand, combined with over 20 years of experience treating low back and neck pain, I can say with certainty that I am worried about the future.

cervical spinal decompression in new york cityThere is certain to be a rise in neck surgeries and physical therapy referrals in the coming years as the world returns to normal. Given what I have seen with the opioid epidemic and the medical community's reliance on pain medication, one can hope that this does not continue to add the the ranks of addiction. But I would be seriously remiss if I didn't remind my patients about the proven effectiveness and efficacy of Cervical Spinal Decompression. Spinal decompression using the DRX9000 is one of the very few forms of truly proven spinal decompression. When combined with chiropractic and supplemented with physical therapy it is a more than viable alternative to neck surgery.

More and more people are sitting at home at their computers and devices trying to work through this new paradigm. Most people were already at great risk of neck pain and disorders like FHP just from the exigent demands of office work. Back when the world was running normally, offices were furnished with at least a passing thought towards ergonomics and worker comfort. Gone are lumbar pillows, height adjustments, cervical support headrests, and even standing desks. Few work from home setups have access to or even budgets to address ergonomics.

Many remote workers will admit to working from their couch, dining room table, even bed, myself included. This deference to comfort is a down payment on future herniated and bulging discs in the cervical spine. The neck is a very mobile part of the body, and relatively weak and easily deconditioned when compared to the back or legs. Luckily it is also treatable when it comes to chiropractic and spinal decompression.

The solution, as I've mentioned is a simple one. A holistic approach starting with spinal decompression can change lives, and render surgical intervention unnecessary. This has been the mantra of my integrated practice here on Broadway, just past Houston street. The foundation of the superlative results has always been to treat the root cause, avoid opioid medication, and let the body heal naturally from the inside. So as you hear more and more people start to complain about neck pain, tell them about Spinal Decompression.
